Description

M29 is an open cluster in the constellation Cygnus. It was cataloged by Charles Messier in 1764 using an early 3.5" achromatic refactor. M29 is in the Milky Way at a distance of 7,200 ly, and is moving toward the Solar System at a velocity of 28 km/s (about 62,500 mph). Its brightest star has a visual magnitude of 8.9 with an absolute magnitude of -8.2 making it 160,000 times as bright as the Sun. The linear diameter of the open cluster is about 11 ly. M29's quadrilateral of four brightest stars, along with the triangle of the other three can be seen through binoculars. A useful guide star for locating M29 is 37 Cygni, also known as Sadr. M29 can be viewed from July through November in the Northern Hemisphere. (Source: adapted from Wikipedia)

I was able to capture only four 300" frames before the clouds rolled in. Taken from my miserable White zone location.
